Andrew Bell - Writer/ director/ actor
Andrew Bell is a Seattle based filmmaker, actor, and writer with an MFA from Columbia University. His short films LET ME PLAY and WELLNESS CHECK screened at festivals across the world and can be found streaming on CryptTV, ShortsTV, and Screambox.
BLEEDING marks Bell’s feature directorial debut. It had its World Premiere at Grimmfest where it won Best Screenplay, US Premiere at Dances With Films where it won Best Midnight Feature, and South American Premiere at Fantaspoa where he served on the Ibero American Film jury (and walked away with a cool new tattoo).
When he’s not making movies, he’s helping his students make films of their own.
Nicholas Payne Santos - Producer
Nicholas Payne Santos is a bi-racial (Black/white) filmmaker based in NYC. Santos received his MFA in Creative Producing from Columbia. In 2024, Nicholas produced the horror feature BLEEDING, which won Best Midnight Feature at Dances With Films and Best Screenplay at Grimmfest.
His short STRANGE CREATURES played over fifty film festivals and is now available on Arrow, Crypt TV and Screambox. In ‘22, Nicholas produced the thriller BURY ME WHEN I’M DEAD which was selected for the 2023 Cannes Marche du Film’s Frontieres Market. In ‘21, Santos’ shorts MOTHER F**KER and HOLIDAY FEAR were also picked up by Arrow. His feature adaptation of STRANGE CREATURES was selected for Fantasia’s Frontieres Market. Santos’ screenplay YOU KILL ME was selected for Columbia’s Blue List in partnership with The Black List. And Nicholas produced the supernatural horror feature THE ARBORIST.
In 20’ Nicholas’ feature directorial debut IT CUTS DEEP was released by Dark Sky Films. It World Premiered at Nightstream. The film’s currently on Tubi, previously on Showtime and Shudder. The feature UNCLE PECKERHEAD, produced by Santos, was released by Epic Pictures, currently at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Bofan Zhang - Producer
Bofan Zhang is a bilingual creative producer based in Los Angeles, with an MFA in Creative Producing from Columbia University. She is a BAFTA Connect member, a Film Independent Fellow. With experience across the U.S., China, and South Korea, her work has been recognized and awarded by BAFTA, the DGA, Focus Features, SXSW, DOC NYC, and the National Board of Review, among others. Her producing credits include BLEEDING (Best Screenplay at Grimmfest), LOVE, ELEPHANT & TOURBILLON (BlueCat Screenplay Competition Winner), VOGUE China x Vivian Wu, CHILDREN OF LIGHT (DGA, BAFTA Shortlist, Student Oscar Finalist, Cine Gear Expo, Focus Features Award), THE UNINVITED (The Venice Film Festival, SXSW, starring Elizabeth Reaser, Walton Goggins, Pedro Pascal), SÉANCE (starring Scottie Thompson), and GO THROUGH THE DARK (DOC NYC, Big Sky).
Bofan previously worked as Director of Content Operations at Foton Pictures and worked in Asian business operations for Ubisoft Film and TV. She is currently exploring the emerging vertical industry as a Creative Producer at ReelShort, where she showruns vertical mobisodes with tens of millions of views. Her goal is not only to entertain but also to raise social awareness and create positive impact through storytelling.
